I am a complete and utter idiot, even if I have been out of the loop for a while.

I just bought and assembled my pc, which is centered around a Silverstone TJ-07 because I have heard so many great things about it. The case has 4 120mm fans, and I thought that I would replace them with some San Ace 1011 because I have heard that they were very good. Unfortunately, I did not realize that the TJ-07 uses 120mm x 25mm fans and not the larger 120mm x 38mm fan which the Sanyo is.

I am not good with my hands, so I don't think I will be able to modify anything while still retaining an air cooling set up. I have 5 of these fans I don't want to waste them. Is there a way to use 5 San Ace's in a WC loop?

Just get some longer screws from a hardware store?

The two at the top fit in a 25mm thick "cage" thing.

Where are the other two? there are 92mm at the back...

The other two were for the HDD cages. I also bought some Sanyo Denki 92mm fans. The cords for them were so stubby, hardly even half a foot. I ordered some extensions for them.

ah yea, the hard drive cages.

mm 38mm certainly dont go down well with that case. They would be awesome on any radiator tho :)

A simple question...

We strongly suggest you refer to your motherboard manual to make sure your Case Fan Headers can handle this fan before plugging it into your motherboard.

I wouldn't try it. Higher amp 3-pin fans are meant to be plugged in to fan controllers since most people don't like using fans that loud 24/7.

You betcha. I still think a triple rad with 3 San Aces @ 7-9v is king.

u need these guys on shrouds to get excellent numbers...

otherwise they make too much noise for the amount of air they push.

But only when they are on shrouds, will you see where san aces dominate.

LOL..

I have 3 120x3 rads being pushed by san aces soley. :P

They're great fans, but don't expect them to be silent. They're quiet for what they are, and are unarguably amazing performers, but even at 5v there is signifigant motor noise.

If silence is a concern there are better options such as the s-flex or GentleTyphoons

it depends on what ones u have, i have the 2k rpm and they are sub .25A each so they run fine with MB headers even 2 on 1 header

the 3k rpm are a higher amp rating of 0.52-0.60 so i wouldent put them on a fan header unless u check the specs

Bah 3000 rpm is for wimps.....Look in my sig and see a real San Ace fan. 6000 rpm's, 4 amp, 50watt and 260cfm goodness! Stick that on your header!

wow 50W, and it sounds about as loud as the 4870/90 fan on 100%, but i would guess that all 80mm+ 6k rpm would sound like that

and were did u get that i wanted some metal framed sanaces but i cant ever find them in DC

That's not 80mm, it is 120mm! I just have big hands! I am not giving my source away just yet until I bleed him dry of these fans.

why not use the fans to levitate your rig? make a hovercraft or something out of them
