Running memtest86+ using CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR3 1800 TWIN3X20481800C7DFIN and I got 22 errors.

E6750 450x7 @ 3.1Ghz/1.35V
DDR3 @ 1800/7-7-7-20/2V

Up the vdimm more? I'm already at 2.0V and I flunked Super Pi 32m as well.

Edit: Also, what's with the cpu being @ 3.6? Does memtest set the multiplier @ 8?

Sorry, it's a bit blurry:

Some times test 5 errors can trace back to the CPU. Have you tried raising the Vcore any or testing the CPU OC with the memory at a slower speed? Also, what is your NB voltage? You are going to need to raise it to get 1800+ on the memory.

Yeah this is an old thread but I need to upgrade memory. Don't know whether it's Vista or the memory itself but since I only have 2GB and I need more. Games are starting to crash

Replace or add memory? If I add I would have to make sure the new and old are running at the same speed correct? I've looked and all the current Corsair DDR3 no longer are at 7-7-7-20.

Recommend 4 GB or more with Vista?

Thanx

you cannot get something that will run the same speed and voltage as that kit anymore, it is time to get all new. i would go for 8GB as it is priced the best and most newer 2GB sticks are single sided so 2x4GB is the way to go. you are also going to be in uncharted territory with low voltage ram on the x38/48.

i would post on house of help to see what ICs work well on that platform, so you know what rev you want.

Will do. Thanx
