Hi I have the EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 and I just bought the Thermalright HR-05 for my northbridge now I need something for the southbridge. I currently have 1 8800 gtx and I plan to go sli so if you guys could make any recommendations based off that I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I haven't received them yet, but I'm planning on using the HR05 on the NB, and the HR05-IFX-SLi for the SB. The SLi version is offset, so hopefully it will clear the end of my 8800GT.

Yeah thats what I was thinking about getting but based off some pictures I've seen I don't think it will fit with 2 gtxs in sli.

Yeah, might not work on 2 GTX's....I have an edge in that I have replaced the stock cooler on my top GT with a TT DuOrb, and on the lower card with a TR HR03GT. That leaves me thinner at the end of the card (no fan shroud or cover) and hopefully will leave a little extra room to fit in the HR05 IFX-SLi.

Will that actually fit under the end of an 8800? Any 8800?

dengyong or Darkatom do either of you guys actually have this? If so how loud is the fan? Is is audible with the case closed and sitting a few feet away?

Thanks

I have a swiftech mxc159 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835108072) on my northbridge and a modified mxc159 on the southbridge. I also have one of those evercools but never used it.
Evga sold that type as an upgrade for six bucks and the same type came on dfi 680i boards. I think newegg also sells them, you can read reviews there.:welcome:

Thanks for the welcome, do you have any pics of your setup so I can see your modified mxc159?

These work without modification on the north bridge.
I suggest the evercool vc-re or the evga version for your south bridge.

dengyong thank you for going through the trouble of taking a picture for me. The Swiftech mxc159 doesn't look like it's going to work for me since I have the stock cooler on my gtx. And based off the reviews on newegg for the evercool vc-re It sounds like it might be a little loud so I think I'm just gonna go for the Thermalright HR-05-IFX-SLI and hope that it fits.

Thank you everyone for you input.

The southbridge doesn't need extravagant amounts of cooling.

enzotech slf-1. Not sure what 680i SB hole pattern is, but this cooler is really slim and gorgeous. The fan spins at a really high RPM, so manual control is needed.
