Well this is my project for the moment,im gonna use a 226W TEC for the GPU on my ti4200 g-card.Im kinda new on TEC ursing so can annyone give me som valuble tips to :Condensate proof this?

Neoprene+Seelstring? greese(non electric...) il post pictures in the future for u,but i need som good tip from u guys

Edit:is it enough with one HeaterCore? iallrady have one,but do i need 2?

Lots of Greese! Heres a good guied that bowman made...

Has some very good info.

as for the heatercore, i think you shuld be fine with 1, as long as you have a good 90-100cfm fan.

Ohhh,thats fast thx...cant w8 to read this.....:)

a 226W pelt on a GPU??? Why are you putting a 226W pelt on a GPU?

::EDIT:: what heatcore do you have and do you know how many watts it can disperse? I think you'd be better off with a higher than 100CFM fan.

Ive done it before, with a 80cfm fan on a 1986 heatercore. Got great results.

I just don't see why you need a 226W pelt on a GPU.

rad is fine, those things are built to dissipate some hundret to thousand watts!

226W on the gpu is overkill... youll just need more insulation so you dont get condensation an the card.

The best tec for a gpu is a 17v 172watt tec, the dT is the best, the power is right and its 40x40mm aswell.

Short of stacking of course, you could stack a 80watt on the 220watt :) Should hit -30C loaded gpu temps or so...

sounds good:) cant wait to get the parts now(computersore, havent the G-card in yet so i have to w8:)(

a more powerfull tec doesnt mean your card will oc higher than others... some 4200s do 340 with def cooling, some dont even reach 350 with 2v and peltier cooling...

a 226W pelt on a GPU is excessive. Just because you can get it colder, doesn't mean it will perform any better. I think you will get that same performance with a 226W pelt then you would with a 169W.

Hmm maybe u right guys...But why not try?:) is this not the xtremesys.org?;).

i remember one guy who put a 172W tec on his radeon 8500 and he had a lot of probs with the insulation and finally changed it to a 80W peltier.

Probably cause he cant buy or find a 300 watt tec yet!!! just kidding. Is kinda overkill, even with mega Volts. Only advantage i could see is running it off a 5 volts line on a cheaper Power supply. I've got a 1.6a with a 226 watt tec running @ 2.92ghz @ 5 volts line and powering the computer using a 350 watt enermax.

Well im curious if this can change anything? if the TEC-element working better if u tighting up harder? du u anderstand? when u atached it to the GPU vithe the cooler if it works better with hard tightnings. amounting it hard (i do not know how to say it,hope u anderstand a little bit?)

gabbax definitely got the taste.

Are you cooling your CPU with a pelt too? Are you applying watercooling for both cpu and gpu or just gpu alone? if you water both cpu and gpu, i suggest you go separate loop, meaning two rads and two pumps.

The tighter the better. And use a cold plate between the tec and the GPU, if your not using a swiftec already.

Tighten it till it strips, then back it off a quarter turn!!!:D

That is a joke, i work on cars a lot also!!!

This project is only for the GPU(im cooling the cpu with prommy) And its going to be a custom made cooling "block"(Or what u call it:)) Allso a special ColdPlate for this to, BUT unfotunaly my motherbord went brok yesturday when i got my new g-card:( but luckly i had an old P4G8X del board, the card does 324/742 STOCK no mods!(9480TVD) il get back as soon as i can with more info

ADIT:324/756 now on the Card NO MODS att all no zinks on mem

Jr, If you stack them do you have to use a cold plate between the two or can you use back to back? I want to stack a 80watt 12v to a 172 watt 24v

-30 deg on the GPU with te 226W? :) on a 9800, is the Ti card colder?....hehe il gona need som serious insolation;) I have seen som first picture of the "cooling-House" im not sure about the right name....Picture are coming up later:)

Gabbax sorry to hit up this old thread but, did you ever get your 226W TEC on GPU working?
