View Full Version : mosfet/vreg block for 8800gt?

I installed a DD full block on my 8800gt but I would like a nicer looking single block to cover my vregs/mosfets, since this one only covers the ram/gpu.

Iandh's block, as beautiful as it is, will not work, because the right block doesn't cover the last vreg.

Where is the vreg it does not cover. All I can see is the blue circle that is covered well... ??: confused:

With the full coverage block, I can't use the other ramsink.
So I need one block, like he has on the right, that covers that spot.

I got it now. When you posted "Iandh's block, as beautiful as it is, will not work, because the right block doesn't cover the last vreg."

I thought you ment design flaw. You ment in combo with a full cover block, and using ony one of his sinks insted of both.

I'm tied up trying to finish the orders for chilledpc and petra at the moment but if you can wait about a week I can probably do a one-off for ya.

I see what you mean. You want the mosfet block part to cover the vreg which is covered by the ram block so you can use ramsinks or other means instead ?

If my guess is correct, then I agree it should be that way logically so anyone can buy the mosfet block alone or the ramsink block alone. Machining should be easier on the ramsink as well.

xelikon, exactly!
Iandh, I appreciate it. I have all the time, no need to rush.
Thanks!
