Get some plumbers goop. Or use clear silicon.

hmm... silicone was kinda messy last time i used it... where do i apply it? on the male end of the thread? how much? a dab on one side or all around?

is it ok to seep out into the o-ring area?

I used Permatex high temp thread sealant on mine....Guess we will see how it works out...I don't think it did much anyways.
Oh yea, and I have had bad experience with blue locktight eating into plastic a bit and losenign screws. i tried to locktight all the screws on my RC car only to have a number of them come lose or strip out upon removal..Then again thats cheap plastic not delrin.

Just run the barb in to finger tight then add 180° with a spanner, to load the o-ring adequately.
Forget all the belts and braces ideas. The complications involved are more likely to hinder than help.

ive used med strength (blue) loctite on delrin with no problem.
the way it cures is when there no oxygen all it does is solidify
filling the gaps. ive also used high strength (red) but that makes
it impossible to take off. what i usually do is fill the barb (screw)
with (blue) loctite, just around the middle of the threads. let
it cure, it will cure eventually even tho exposed to oxygen. then
it will be pre loctite and will act as a filler between the threads
to keep it from moving. it wont seal, but it will keep it from moving
if you want to seal, put a good amount of loctite and the end of
the barb threading and let it cure for an hour. if that doesn't
seal it then i dont know what would.

thats the med strength thread lock i use, i also have some Loctite
but its way to expensive to be wasting.

If you use any type of pipe dope, silicone, or other liquid/paste sealant be sure to leave the first one or two threads bare opposite the barb end.
