Can you look at the ATX connector and tell us if there are thin wires running along side the thicker ones for the 3.3v, 5v, and 12v rails?

Wire colors are orange (3.3), red (5v), and yellow (12v).

If not, then we will have to look inside the psu to figure it out.

Also, the wire could be brown for the 3.3v rail sometimes..and is usually the case if there are not sense wires for all the rails on the ATX connector.

nope, my psu has no voltage sense cables to raise the voltages... ill have to solder vrs directly to the psu... but i dont know where...

is there a guide somewhere?

Does the fortron have any trim pots inside? You may be lucky and be able to trim the voltages with no mods if that fortron has the potentiometers already in place. My old 300w fortron had one for the 5/12 rail.

If not, it will take an electronics expert to find the right resistor and suggest replacement value(s). No, I'm not an electronics expert, can't help in that case.

how do those pots look like? something with a screwdriver mask so i can adjust it right? hmmmm

The pots are usually small, about the size and shape of a button. They often have an "X" shaped slot in the center for the adjustment tool.

Those lil pots that are on the inside of some psu's can be a byt*h to adjust sometimes.

From what I hear the TTGI have good mounts for their onboard pots, but I dont know about others. I would be very careful when ya turn it. Snap that bugger off and you have to remove the enitre psu pcb and start re-soldering connections.

If ya gonna void yer warranty, just do it the easy way and mod the sense lines..lot less headache.

sorry m8, missed that post..havent been on this thread for bit.

Can you take a pic of the inside of the psu and the ATX connector?

Could be that you need to have a look at some resistors that are on the pcb.
