Every post I found through the search function has broken images of the TIM applications. Does anyone have a pic of the TIM line across their quad so I know which way to put the MX-2 line so it's crossing both cores?

Ive never favoured the line method, i always cover the whole chip with a smooth, thin layer of TIM using a sandwich bag/plastic cling film on my finger.

But if you want the line method i am guessing you want to have the line going across the center or both the cores, a quick google search will show you the position of cores on an intel quad.

I'm at work right now and most techie pages are blocked.

In your sig it shows you have a dual core AMD processor and the line method doesn't work so well with that configuration according to what I've been reading on these forums.

With MX-2 I just put a fair size daub (size of BB) in the center of each core pair. Since it is non-conductive and non-capacitive a little extra does not hurt.
