Are there any drawbacks for running a dual-loop off of a dual reservoir that EK makes? This would be 2 pumps hooked up to different loops but running through the same res. Any drawbacks? I think i remember reading that it wasnt good but can remember they whys.

Thanks guys.

Two loops off one res have the downside that one loop will be warmed up.
EK has a division in the res, though, so the liquid stays separate.
It would be possible to use an EK res so dual loops mixed but that's not the design intention, I believe.

in the EK duals, are the loops kept completely separate or only partially? it looks to me as if there is one fillport and then a hole through the divider. also, how much of a temperature increase are we talking in comparison between the two loops?

I'm talking about the Multi-res Linked. Its divided I think but haven't had one of the center pieces in my hands yet.
If a dual loop passed through a single res the temp increase would depend entirely on what the loop temps happened to be. Impossible to put a figure on now.

If you pumped straight from the res into the radiators you would negate that effect to a certain degree.
