I'm getting some new toys for christmas (PA120.2, chipset blocks, etc..) and I was planning on going Pump - PA120.2 - Fuzion - Res. I currently have a D5 and am very happy with it, but I am not sure if the nozzled Fuzion (quad) would benefit from the incresed head pressure of the DDC. I would expect there to be no differance, or nothing more than ~.1c.

If you have a D5, keep it ;)

I plan on keeping the current D5 for the Pump - PA120.3 - MCW60 - MCW30 - MCW30 - Res. I just don't know which I would benefit from more. A D5 for the CPU only, or a modded DDC for the CPU or GPU/NB/SB loop.

Really wanted an Enzotech chipset block but I can't find any performance info on them, so MCW30 it is.

If you want a second loop, then you can play the versatility card by getting a DDC with top or continuity with a D5. Both is similar especially when the DDC3.2 is less powerful than the DDC2 you may be referring (not sold anymore).

Like I said, I am very happy with my D5. I've had the thing for around 2 years now and it has been running almost 24/7 since then. I have all components/fans on one PSU jumpered on 24/7, my MB and 8800GTS are on a seperate PSU by themselves. I was just wondering if it would be worth it to go with a Modded DDC due to the increased head pressure it has over the D5.

They are essentially the same performance with the DDC3.2, very very slight edge to the DDC, but nothing that would make any measurable difference in temperature.

I would base your decision on size, tubing routing, and cost. The D5's have a longer history of trouble free performance, but the new 3.2's seem to be doing fine as well.

There has been discussion of a D5 top and I'm going to tinker with that myself, so there is the potential the D5 top could take the lead, but nothing proven so far.

Sounds good. I also don't mind the $20 differance in price =]. I guess I'll go with another D5 considering the case I have, and my plans to go to a 24" cube soon.

Not for me, DDC 3.2 with Petra's DDC-01s top still going strong.

don't post things like that without any proof, compared to when the ddc2 was out I have seen little (or no?) dead ddc3.2's in this section.

Me neither. The only death I witnessed is user fault (petra gel oozed in the pump guts) and we now know that having the pump bottom free of obstruction will ensure a long lifetime of running.
