View Full Version : Best case for 2 x triple radiators?

I'm looking into building a new system with a sizable (2 x triple rad) water cooling setup for overclocking, obviously :D . I'm going to go for the 'clean' look and try and get it all inside the case. However, I've never used a Dremel or any similar motorised cutting blade before. How easy is it to get the hang of?

Or, can you guys recommend a case which will take two large size radiators without having to cut an enormous hole in it? Drilling holes is no problem, obviously :)
Only one I've seen so far is the enormous Lian-Li 343B. Any ideas? Thanks.

+2 for the MM

A Dremel is not hard to get the hang of, but it does take a great deal of time and use to get really proficient with one.

The MountainMods (http://www.mountainmods.com/) cases all fit the the bill, especially the Duality (http://www.mountainmods.com/computer-cases-u2ufo-duality-c-21_71.html).
The Lian-Li 343B Modular Cube (http://www.mountainmods.com/computer-cases-u2ufo-duality-c-21_71.html) case is also highly recommended.

If you are willing to drill a few screw holes, then do as I am about to and grab a Cooler Master Stacker STC-T01 (http://www.coolermaster.com/products/product.php?act=detail&tbcate=17&id=4) or 810 (http://www.coolermaster.com/products/product.php?act=detail&tbcate=17&id=13), take the rear side panel of and bolt on some standoffs.
Happy modding :)

Custom Mountain Mods all the way. Here's a few pics of mine. My crappy pictures don't do this case justice at all. These are some high quality cases that are built for watercooling especially. Very easy to watercool in these cases.

It might be a little off-topic, but why do you want 2xtripple rads? that seems way way overscaled for the heat output a system would give off. I don't see any practical reason for having more than 1tripple rad (unless you intend to have no fans on them, in which case it would make some sense).

It dosn't matter if you think it's needed or not. OP wanted a case to fit 2 tripple rads, so what if it's overkill. BTW with todays 8800 series cards and quads, 2 tripple rads isn't overkill.

I'm planning on putting a large amount of high-end hardware in it which will spew out a fair amount of heat, and still being able to turn down the 120mm fans so that it doesn't make too much noise.

The Lian-Li 343B case is only 18" high and it's a good case. I have one and would use it again if I were to build another mult-loop system. The fit and quality is very good.

2x120 + 3x120 best choice, and much more cases available
no one needs in overkill, correct? =)
