As some might know I'm mostly a vapor phase guy, I dont normally come out of that section  :sofa:
Now before they see I'm out of the cell and not knitting more blankets for them to sell, need some advice.
Current rig is with an intel 550 and p5b deluxe (which just fried) and an x850xtpe. So as you can see I havent done major heavy benching in a while except with Philly Boy and Cpt. Planet.
Ive got a bit more cash to upgrade with, thinking the Abit IP35, so Pro or not? (Worth it or not in other words).
3870 or 2900pro?
e6850 or try and save for a penryn.
Probably going to go with new mobo and video card for now, and then save a bit more for new cpu.
Posting now before they find me!

i got the ip35-E because i didnt have enough for the pro, wouldve gone pro if i had the cash, great mobo's. if your going single cards, if you can get a cheap 8800GT those are faster than the 3870's when not in dual card's. if your going SLI or Xfire, go for the X38 mobos and then get 2x 3870's, better than 2 8800GT's, as for the cpu, if you can wait for penryn, i recommend it, so go with IP35 Pro and 8800GT or a X38 and 2 3870's or if you like ati more, the 3870 is still a great card.

Okay I'm a single card sorta guy most of the time.
So 3870 > 2900pro/xt?
ATI though for me, less problems there for me, and a bit of fanboyism. Plus I do subzero and then some ;)
