ok, well i have a set of 2900xt's here that i want to watercool
i cant really afford full cover blocks yet so i was thinking of using MCW60's and some ramsinks, question is, what would be good for cooling the vregs?

also, could people please post their pics of their water cooled 2900's, just for some ideas

any advice would be great,

thanks

I Dont know what prices are like in Oz, but in the UK by the time you've got an MCW-60, RAMsinks and a Vreg cooling solution you may as well just buy the fullcover block. Of course you can put an MCW-60 on different cards, so its cheaper in the long run.

Theres a picture o nthe MCW-60 page of swiftnets.com showing how they suggest a 2900 should be cooled. http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcw60-R.asp

i was going to order the parts through petras, with 2x mcw60's, 2x a2900 plates, 4x enzotech ramsinks and 2x mc21's, that comes to just under $180USD, plus postage, probably $200US, you couldnt get all that in AU for that price, and $200USD is only like $220-230AUD
i just have to figure out a way to mount my spare MCR220 to my case

MCW60 x 1

Ram Sinks x 0

2900xt have 2 metal plates that sits on the rams and vreg already, just put on MCW60 and you are done.

mine has been running like that when the card came out

are you using the fan at all? ive heard of people doing this but the temps go up a lot on the vregs/ram
ive seen someone who used the plate, fan and shroud and put two holes through the shroud for the tubing to go through

ill be overclocking these cards so ill be looking for the better cooling option

took fan off
took shroud off

left standard plates on with no TIM on any mem chips
