So if any of you got the Q6600 deal from fry's and was going to trash/shelf/sell the free mother board shoot me a pm please. I need a couple till I get the farm situated and build some funds back up. Might be adding a 3rd Q if all falls into place.

I went to Frys after work, but I missed out. 2 different employees at Frys said nope... we are out of them.
It's too bad I had to work on Friday or else I would have me a q6600 right now.
On a side note, I talked to a guy waiting in line... said he had been in line 2 hours, and figured it would be another hour until he got up to front to check out. If they did have any left, I dunno if I would have been able to wait that long... 3 hours of my life spent in line?
3hours isnt that bad... last year trying to pick up a few rigs for my work and a 42" Tv, me and my boss were out there from like.. 5:30am and didnt even get in til 7:40
then took another 1-2hrs to check out

Buy a Q6600 and get a free ECS mobo of some sort. Crap board but Q6600 for $199 was a deal B3 or G0 either way.

Yup, I guess so.....:yepp:
I was looking to put up another rig too....dang it. I have a spare DS3R and RAM laying around. It WILL get used soon anyway....;)

Sad to think that quad is cheaper than my old single core 3700+ was a year and a half ago....
At least I can rest assured that the normal price isn't :p: ....yet....

ya i saw this ad. Hope they run another soon, i need to get at least one other quad for now so i can run WCG and F@H and get some decent yields.

Last I read most fry's had G0's.
Not sure about the one in Downers Grove, IL. I stopped by around 7am and the parking alot was packed and im not one to wait, so I didnt bother checking.
anyhoo,
I check the ads weekly and if I see a q6600 combo ill post, pick one up and gladly donate a board to a fellow wcg
