Can anyone recommend a dust proof metal mesh to use for fan dust filters?

I am trying to customise the front panel of my lian-li PC-70

I dont suppose anyone knows somewhere i can buy different front panels for this case.

This might sound corny, but try stockings. I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard of a few who have.

and it may work but you will also will have to clean it up pretty often...

Yeah which means it would be doing a good job. Better to have to clean a filter out that a motherboard.

what about trying an air filter for a home furnace. they are white though, which may be more visible. you shoudl be able to cut it into any shape you need.

There is no such thing as dust proof. If you restrict the fan filters too much, the fan is going to get air from somewhere and that can result in sucking in unfiltered air from every crack imagineable.

I use the thin black fiberglass mesh that is used for mosquito netting for porches. It isn't very restrictive but keeps out the bulk of the junk. I only have to blow my system out about once a month.

two layer of stocking? lol
just make sure u dun stack them too close .. give them 2mm gap or so

there's a some paper filter maybe u can get some of this .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_filter

but blocking too much air can really stress up ur fans .. trouble is .. the fan itself gonna produce a handful of heat.
