I was told by Corsair that all the current ddr3 1600 memory have Micron IC's

Far as I know, all DDR3 currently from corsair uses Micron IC's.

YB or RB could confirm otherwise.

The "IN" is the part number for Intel XMP profiles. The memory will run just fine at manual settings on a non-Intel chipset MOBO. It is very similiar to how SLI Ready EPP profiles work on Nvidia based boards. I'll check on the ICs but, so far I have not heard of us using anything other than Micron on these modules.
