I was debating whether to start a seperate thread or post in someone else's thread my results with my QX9650, as I don't wish to flood the forums with multiple threads on the same subject. At the same time, I didn't want to dilute someone else's thread so here goes...
Here's my system setup:

QX9650
ASUS P5E3 Deluxe WiFi@APn
XFX 8800 GTX Ultra
Corsair Dominator 2GB 1800mhz memory kit
Areca 1230ML raid controller with 4 Raptors in raid 0 array
Creative Fatality X-Fi

The cpu is cooled by a D-Tek Fuzion waterblock with a Thermochill PA120.3 radiator all by itself:) No special tweaks have been done to my Windows Vista Ultimate install. The entire setup is in a CoolerMaster Stacker case with 4 120mm fans blowing into the case on the side panel. All my usual programs and games are installed for 24/7 use. I'm really testing for stability at the highest combination of cpu frequency and FSB. First result:

Nice results!

You seem to have a 10 degree difference between cores #1 & 2? Is your block seated properly?

I've noticed this myself. I have checked the block several times for proper seating and all seems to be good. I may have to re-apply the arctic silver to see if that makes a difference.

I'm typing this response at 11x400. I will test for stability and report back.

To achieve Prime95 stability at 11x400 is going to require a massive amount of vcore. Already at 1.575 in the BIOS and still not stable. This is starting to scare me a little. I know it's early in the game, but how much voltage is considered safe for these processors?

Major vdrop/vdroop on this board, especially if you haven't done the pencil mod. So, 1.575 in the bios probably means you're well under 1.55 under full load.

A little more tinkering yeilded the following result:

Here's a SuperPi run at the above settings:

just being curious - what kind of fan you got there with 5200rpm?

Nice results :toast: How do you like the P5E3, any problems with it?

Thanks! I really like the P5E3 and consider it one of the best ASUS boards I've owned. If you are planning to run some top end gear on it that consume alot of wattage, I would recommend a powerful power supply with a single beefy 12 volt rail. I had a Thermalright 1200 multi 12v rail psu that was causing me some problems, but once I replaced that with an Ultra psu with a single 70 watt 12 volt rail, all my problems went away:)

That's the 3 fan memory cooling bracket that came with the Corsair Dominator kit;)
