Yep! Troy... would have been nice if some of you guys had to mention a little flaw how the gui client (as opposed to the 'client.exe' itself) hogs CPU after a while  I'm sure you may have before... but ... :stick: Anywasy restarted using the console version...

Nice going team:wave:

I got motherboard and AMD X2 4000 today. I put a bunch of EONs on it till I get a chance to overclock it.

Sorry Riptide. I don't remember how much time the EON GUI took, but I know I did notice it awhile back and stopped using it.

Is EON strting to get slow with the WU's or is it just me!

glennpat

It is slower. I have a lot more clients on it, but am getting less work. Team Norway is crunching more work units this last few days so it's adding some load to the project.

My pleasure, got 137 clients running here.
50 on each clover, 30 on the Q6600 and 7 on the FX51
I may catch weltest by the end of the day.
He had a big start on me, wasn't at 100% till almost 6am.
Am I correct in assuming that "weltest" is the developers machine(s) on this and if so I wonder what he's running.
No matter what happens the boys over at the Knights are scratching their heads right now going :

30 on my Q6600 as well! :D

I didn't see a sticky about EON anywhere but it looked easy enough to run. If I run all 30 instances by repeatedly double-clicking on the client.exe in the EON program directory is that ok? I saw somewhere someone mention you have to copy and create multiple directories/shortcuts for each instance? Anywhoo the 30 instances I've got up and running now seem to be reporting ok

To max my systems I wound up with 60 on the clovers and 35 on the Quad and 7 on the old FX51..
I installed each to it's own dir and goes pretty fast if you plan.
Just added a # to the prompt at install dir and then once you type in your email addy the first time just highlight and "copy" it into memory and the next install you can just paste it in.
Then when it installs and shows the directory on your desktop you just right click the exe file, and ';send to desktop, create shortcut and once the shortcut is on the desktop rename to client31,32,etc..
Then make a folder on the desktop called Eon anddrag all the shortcuts in so you don't have a mess on the desktop.
Easy and since I had a grand total of 162 installs running it does work:D

I just got off the app, left the 7 running on the FX51 and got NJ involved yesterday. I think he has 20-30 clients running.

Interesting:
I figured I'd shoot to catch that weltest guy yesterday even though I was 4 hours behind when I got to full power.
Since I'm the curious type I emailed the developer to ask what was on that account. Nice guy to deal with.
You sitting down?
That weltest account is the entire computer lab at that school.
75 C2D's, probably dells and probably not all up to "our" standards.
So with a 4 hour timeframe to make up my 2 clovers, the one quad and the old FX51 caught(21 cores total) and passed their whole computer lab with 150 cores!:ROTF:
The day wound up at 116K to 111K and I think thats a howl.
Anyway it was a hell of a 40 hour run and I think I got you a total of just under 150K added..Yes, and it was a fun run!

Don't the EON clients write to the client file for logkeeping? Would it make a difference if all 30 instances of EON wrote to their own client-log file instead of on one single client log file?

Great... so its you and half a dozen other unknowns.... I'm getting killed by this new internet connection I'm reviewing. Its review package is a wireless 512 down service  Seems ok at 512.. but not good enough for this project... I'll have to call them and upgrade to the 2mb down for a half a chance. But to mitigate that, did I tell you I have a SS waiting for me down in the Postal office? :hehe: That frees up a H20 system also for a TEC experiment. Also need another rig. Seems every nOOb on the street has at least a Q6600 or 2  ;)
