unlocked?

I have an old 1400+athlonxp proc looked at the l1 bridges with a jewlers loops and they are all connected from the factory is this an unlocked processor?(all the pencils mods for these older procs say to bridge these connections)

I don't remeber seeing Xp 1400+ desktop processors... I thought they were all mobile cpus. I also remember the t-bird 1.4GHz ones, wich had some factory unlocked steppings. Mobiles should be unlocked by default.

You can try upping or dropping your multiplier bios setting and checking by CPU-Z. If your processor is locked, nothing should happen. If not, voila, you got an easy overclocking cpu.
