I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe mobo (I'll provide more specs if it helps) for my rig, which I've had for about 5 years without ever having any serious problems. Yesterday I decided it'd be a good idea to clean out 5 years of dust from my case, and got to work.
I cleaned the HSF, and, not having any TIM laying around, went out and bought some and reseated it. Was kinda tricky with the way the mounting works, but I'm pretty sure I got it on right. I also removed my graphics card (9800 pro 128mb version) and cleaned it.
Other than those 2 small things, nothing else was removed from my mobo.
After putting everything back together, I powered on, only to find that the PC wouldn't post. The monitor was blank (in standby) and there was no signature BEEP. All the fans turned on and HDs spun up, so I know it's not my PSU.
I tried resetting my CMOS, but it's not helping.
Any suggestions?
