So I am looking for a case that ideally has some sort of hot-swap functionality.
If not, something with a nice drive cage, like the COSMOS, but much smaller.
Any suggestions on a case that has excellent cooling along with 5+ easy-remove HDD cages?

Why not buy a normal case and add the hot-swap to the external 5.25" drive spaces? IIRC, you can fit in five 3.5" drives into three 5.25" bays. They're for $80-$120 on NewEgg.

For Hot Swap Drive Cages I would not recommend anything other than Super Micro:yepp:

hehe
this is just desktop/light duty.
Want to take advantage of hotswap capability in ICH9R. Setting up a 4*1TB rig in a raid 5. Not looking to frequently xchange drives, but the hotswap ability would be nice.

What case do you currently have? It would probably be easier and cheaper to simply get a hot-swap bay with trays--$100 for a five 3.5" drive in three 5.25" bays.
