I did it! And no there are no other gnomes, then the one in the beginning, played the game 3,5 times, also found out Doug Lombardi said there are no others then that one. So yes I went through the whole game carrying it.

And I'm slamming my head on the keyboard, cuz first time round.....I forgot to close the hatch lol, so I'm gonna have to redo the bits after these screenshots, and post the screenshot of the achievement later lol! http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/images/smilies/RTFM2.gif

The part with the car and helicopter was excruciatingly difficult, everytime you jumped the gnome would fly out of the car, you have to jam it between the rear seat and rear windscreen, face down. But when you crash or jump it flies out. SO SO SO difficult.

Bye bye gnome, and *darn no spoiler tags* bye lamarr!! That was really sad lol, but she wouldn't come out, oh well!

In the mean time tried squashing all grubs, and came 8 short. Dang lol. I did earn the neighborhood watch achievement, man that one was hard.

I was almost too late when the strider ran to the sawmill, what I did is, I handbraked my car in front of it's gun, and landed three SMG grenades on it's head while it was a bout to fire, and then it just froze in that position, didn't walk didn't do anything, the other ones when they ran I was in time.

All was played on Hard difficulty aswell.

I'm gonna start on redoing the last bit in a couple of minutes.

lol congrats on sending the gnome to space. didnt know there was achievements... everything was chill until the end. i suck at driving that thing, just stayed at the last house and killed them there. killing hunters were tricky, had to pile them up so my bazooka would hit them all. killing them 1by 1 takes way 2 long

^^^ I loved the strider killing part especially because of the hunters that needed to be killed first. I think I killed about 90% of them while IN the car. If you turbo into them, it kills them. They are smart enough sometimes to evade but then you have to scream irl "OH NO YOU DIDN"T!!" then pull the handbrake and do a 180 and come back for another pass. It was lots of fun.

@Tim: Haha, congrats about the gnome achievment. I found him the first time I played the game without reading the forums/achievments completly by accident. I saw this red thing in the corner and though it might be a medpack or something so I crouched and checked it out and was suprised to see it was a gnome. Looking back at it, I should have brought him with me.

You don't need to turbo to run over the hunters, although it helps when they try to dodge.

If you put the Gnome between two saw blades in the back seat of the Charger, he will stay put even off jumps and when using the turbo.


Also, i found it hilarious how Llamar also jumped into the rocket for a ride into orbit. And how Dr. Magnussen commented on the payload anomaly of 8 pounds. (being Llamar).

Oddly enough, i have a feeling he will make a return in Episode 3. Somehow he always makes it back to Kleiner.
