Currently playing with a NF7-S 2.0, might swap out my "old" 8RDA+ if it proves to be better.

What are fsb spread spectrum and AGP spread spectum in Bios and what should the setting be?

They should usually be set to "Disbaled".

Those are features that had to be included to ensure compliance with RFI standards in the EC.

If you don't have any problems with RFI then you don't need to enable them.

Ok, thanks!

The board seems pretty nice so far even though my Barton 2500+ is not the best.
About 240 fsb 2.0-2-2-7

That's a real nice mem and fsb combo! :-) Did you vmod with pencil or resistor? I'm only able to get to 219x11 and 95% efficiency with my nf7s\1700 and Corsair PC3200 platinum. Air cooled, no mods except for SLK 800 and heat sink on SB.

Modded with resistor.

I have it inside the case and no camera available...but you can get some ideas here:

Thanks for the very helpfull link.

Did you read the guide on lapping the NB?

It's shocking to see how similar that NB cooler looked to mine when i took it of... just a bit AS3 on the edges but the center was completly barren of any.

I don't know about lapping it, it will void your warrenty, i think i will try to add some more AS3 in the center first as soon as i get my mobo back from RMA.

Hey Caper,

Did you do the mods yourself? When I look at how small the solder areas are I still cringe. My soldering skills are not very good :slobber:

Actually, I have purchased my last several motherboards from Mike at www.pretestedcpus.com. The modified nf7-s that I got from him about a month ago is running at 245mhz dual channel with no problems. I am very happy with this board to say the least

I use a SMD grabber for my VDD, then hotglued it to a PCI slot, took 2 seconds to take off for RMA when i blew a VDD Mosfet, when I pull the memory mod off it took the resitor with it, but that was no big deal when your chipset is getting no voltage at all, no reason not for the RAM to get no voltage too.

Caper:
Yeah, Mike is a great guy and his modified boards are great. Keeps me from having to do it myself and frying them, which I have done on a couple of occasions ;)

Osbornnoe:
It has resistors. I am unsure about the lapping on the NB. As soon as I got the board I just popped it in my system and was able to do 245.
