As you see red, but with a blank surface, should i paint it red and put enamel paint on it?

Well, in the US I know Krylon makes high quality spray auto paint and spray clear coat, but I'm not too sure about in Denmark.

Ok here we go, some thing like this: Krylon Interior-Exterior Paint - Cherry Red 2101

Now i need a good Clearcoat spray, and a prime-paint (or do i need prime-paint?), but im lost here big time, need both in good quality!

power coated or anodized look amazing and last for years.plus there pretty reasonably priced and look very professional.anodized black look stunning or even gun metal grey(silver)trimmed with black accents.show stoppers!

if u must spray it,make sure to use Etching primimg FIRST if not the paint wont stick nor look as deep as u would like, its gives body to the paint.if u skip the etching priming stage your paint will look dull and shallow vs deep and vibrant.after that point sand, alcohol prep then clear coat it a million times to seal the color in and it will last a long time. *note on clearcoating: let the clearcoats dry atleast 20min in between coats and whatever u do make sure the room is dust\smoke\bug free..

quote and answer "should i paint it red and put enamel paint on it"

no! sand(600-800grit) it real good to give the primar something to stick on then alcohol it for oil\dirt residue. makes it a real good surface for the etching primer to bond ,then paint, clearcoat(mist the clear on).

*take your time*
1. sand
2. alcohol
3. paint
4. clear (do very LIGHT coats, but do MANY coats 5-8)
5. loom powersupply real good with color scheme lo0m (buy loom here, any size\color) http://www.svc.com/sleeving-flexo-pet-sleeving.html http://www.svc.com/sleeving.html
6. lights! http://www.svc.com/lighting.html

hope this helps,goodluck!

ya u gotta wet sand/prime before krylon will adhere well, You could use tamiya model paints for metal/plastic to skip the sanding part, but it looks weird.

Railmeat and Nullface you should sand the paint and clearcoat with 1500-2000 grit (lightly) in between coats to get rid of orange peel etc. On the last coat of clear-coat sand with the highest grit sand paper you can find (extremely lightly) then use a rubbing compound (3M rubbing compound is my preferred choice)

Nullface before you spray you need to use etch primer which is like an acid that reacts with metal creating a surcface for the paint to 'stick' to

I really suggest getting a cheap sander or else ur hand is gonna fall off b4 ur case looks nice. If you want your paint job to look professional u pretty much have 2 sand in between coats.

Something like this

I have one of those, and they are very nice for sanding wood and getting paint off metal :D

sry 4 the confusion but i meant use that on the bare metal. u'll probably have 2 do it by hand for between coats.
