I've been having a few problems with my system and I have let pass for too long and resorted to my laptop for majority of needs.

Here are the Specs:

Asus P5b Deluxe, Bios 1216 (older bios did the same so i upgraded)
Intel E6300
2x1GB Crucial DDR2 800 4-4-4-18 timings
2 x 7200.10 seagate 320gigs in RAID-0
Evga 7900GTX
Creative X-fi Xtrememusic
Scythe Infinity cooler
All powered by Thermaltake Toughpower 750W

45 Idle and about 57 Load are the temps of CPU at 1.41V

3.2Ghz overclock
1:1 Ratio, Ram is at 460mhz
FSB 460
Vcore 1.41V
VDIMM: 2.25V
FSB Termination: 1.45
NB Vcore: 1.55
SB Vcore: 1.6
ICH: Auto

When I first built the system, I was able to get 3.2 on stock voltage and only a minor increase in NB vcore, it is no longer the case. I need around 1.41 to achieve a semi-stable system.

by semi-stable, I mean10+ Orthos blend stable but during normal use, it often freezes, restarts....

I don't know whats going on any more... I've had the system for about a year. I've tried another Power Supply and same thing.

Did you test of Prime95 stability? Run two instances (as you have 2 cores)--make sure you set it to run on different cores. My latest stability test was completed after nearly 4 days--why don't you try for 24 hours?

Isn't Orthos pretty much prime 95?

and i was doing instances on both cores so full 100% load on both.

I'll try the prime 95 like the old days :)

Orthos is nothing more than Prime95 (engine) with a little more GUI. :)

Sometimes Orthos/Prime "stable" not necessary means system stable.

The latter may very well be a case of a "rotten" OS (drivers, progs) that can be solved by a clean install.

Eh--I haven't read up on it that much. Sorry--coulda sworn that Orthos was similar to Prime95 but had some changes made. Anyways--sorry for making a fool out of myself. On another note, why don't you try testing the RAM? As you probably know, MemTest86+ is the program to use. Other then that, I can't think of much. Maybe hard drive problems. The "rotten OS" seems likely too--driver conflicts get annoying.

what kind of crash? does it freeze? *sound* loop? maybe its your card, im having problems with mine, but i could have a driver issue

everything would freeze or system would restart. After restarting, it goes on a restarting loop and come to think of it, it rebooths onces on Loading windows screen.

So it could really be a rotten OS. Could Raid 0 cause a bad OS, this is the first time i've tried RAID.

Do memtest for a day or two. Make sure your RAM is rock solid.

Or better yet, try to scan your system for viruses.

yep viruses and spyware can mess you system stability big time , though the need for extra voltages to get it somewhat stable isn't a good sign... What happens if you try 450FSB ? Is it stable then, if so , it migh tbe the same symptoms you are having when my P5W started slowly capping out on me

I am experiencing same problem with my E2160 rig, it passed OCCT 30mins, 1 hour test and 3 hours of Prime95, but it keep restarting or freeze my the rig after couples hours of running WCG. Right now, i boot up the vcore a bit and running Prime95 and see if it will pass 8 hours +.
