So I picked up a MCW60 with both the standard backplate and the G80 backplate (for future update) and got the EnzoTech BMR-C1 heatsinks to go with it. I also upgraded to Tygon 3603 1/2" ID 3/4" OD tubing and the 2 ram modules/IC's whatever just above the waterblock don't look like they can fit the ramsinks on them so for now they are off. I am wondering who else had run into this issue and what their solution was? I am not really OC'ing the card much so I don't expect them to get very hot especially while idle I tried bending the heatsink pins but the amount I would have to bend them to get them to fit seems a bit much and makes me wonder if it will defeat their purpose. I have seen this on other cards but the problem is with this tubing seems too thick and they don't look like they will fit... Any suggestions?

I don't use ram sinks on my 1950XT 512MB, Honestly they aren't that important.

On the 79xx cards, Is it very important, As the memory chips are spec'ed to 1.9v (Samsung made i believe) but are run at 2.1. A smart move by Nvidia, considering the memory fails just as often as any other card, But saves us consumers some money.

It does however run HOT, Not burn to the touch, But I'd guess 140-180f with no ramsinks. (My fingertips have very little sensitivity so I cant attest to their heat that much).

Heck, I'll measure the temp on one of my MC14 sinks right now...

EDIT: The ramsinks on my 7900GS are 109f with a fan pulling air over them.

Hrmmm I like the swiftech jobby but I am not sure how to use it with the tubing I have.... they don't look replaceable and I am not sure if there is a reducer I could get plus that might hurt my flow I am ~1.8GPH now and would like to stay above 1.5.... of course I don't plan on having this card much longer so I might just wait and get one of those uni-sink (I think) type contraptions from petras who I must say has the BEST service that I have had in a while

I still say (For this card) bend the pins. They wont break unless you bend them back and forth repeatedly, And it will solve your problems. Then, when you get a new card, go and get a nice FC block.

That ramcooler would be a waste, Especially since you are thinking of getting a new card. Plus, theres no need to add more heat to your loop.
