More pics! The Ultra X3 PSU

The most gorgeous PSU i have ever seen in my life! The sleeving* on the cables is just amazing. The cables bends so easy, it'll be a real pleasure to route them in my case. Also the way the cables connect to the PSU is just amazing!

Let the early Christmas continue! More stuff arrived today!

Look at that gorgeous 24" monitor! :D My only concern is that either my desk or floor isn't straight which makes one side of the monitor to lean. Hooked something under the leg and all is good. Maybe it is a default with the supporting arm of the monitor too. Oh well, i can live with that ;)

Here i prepared the pump for usage :D Also sleeved it.

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666064.jpg

Mounted the Tuniq with the back-plate and some neopropene to prevent shorts.

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666072.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666080.jpg

Only thing remaining to arrive is my PA120.2 from Jab-Tech should be here Monday or Tuesday.

PS: Tonight im working on hooking everything onto the Bench table and running on air just for testing. Then, tomorrow, i'll work on disassembling my U2-UFO and preparing it for the watercooling loops :)
__________________________________________________ ____

UPDATE!

I just finished cleaning my room and assembling the rig on my bench table. I haven't hooked all 4GB and my X-FI Xtrememusic sound card yet. I will do when i know that everything is working great. Now comes the time to press the power button and i am nervous. Will everything boot up fine? I doubt it. There is always something going wrong on first boot for me...

Small Update!

Look what i received today :D

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4934.jpg

A nice Thermochill PA120.2 with some gaskets and Polypropene barbs since it's IMPOSSIBLE to find metallic barbs for that rad...

I think it can't be more clear than that... I didn't knew Thermochill had included that message with there Rads. I guess Hot water it'll be then! :p:

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4942.jpg

My new EVGA 680I A1 is scheduled to be here on October 18-19th.. Until that time, ill clean my PA120.2, prepare my case, start the watercooling etc... Will updates as work gets slowly done!
____________________________________

Update!

Well, while im patiently waiting for the new mobo to arrive, i decided to start working on the case and watercooling stuff. So firstly, what i did was to take that defective EVGA 680I A1 and put it back into it's box and get ready to ship it back for RMA. I took my P5B Deluxe and hooked all my stuff on it and installed Vista Ultimate X64.

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4965.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4966.jpg

Then i started cleaning the case since the P5B Deluxe + mobo tray were out the case. I removed the watercooling loop, cleaned the case (Dust, sticky parts due to tape etc..).

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4968.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4955002.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4957.jpg

As you guys can see, pretty much all wires\cables are already sleeved :) I had to sleeve the 2 fans for the back PA120.2 tho.

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5008.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5011.jpg

Once the case cleaning was done, i ran HOT water for a good 5mins through my new PA120.2.

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4976.jpg

Good idea eh! :p:

Once all clean, i hooked the gaskets, the fans and in the case it went :)

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_4985.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5017.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5030.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5027.jpg

After all that, i went to bed for 3 long hours (...) before going to work @ 6AM today.

Now im back and i'll work on disassembling my loop, clean the parts and hook the PA120.3 back into the case and ready for watercooling :) Once the new board gets home ill make sure that it's fully working, i might do the vdroop pencil mod and then it'll go under watercooling! Updates will follow...

Indeed! 2 years ago, i had promised myself never to buy an Ultra PSU again! But hey, guess what? I did it again! And i think i did a safe choice right here. This PSU keeps getting good reviews all over. I tell you this, i haven't tried it yet, but it looks like one hell of a PSU!

I will have some pics up by tonight guys! Pics of my new Desk! Which is awesome! Corner style desk. I had to mod it a little so it could accommodate my rather large mouse pad :p: and rather heavy U2-UFO :D Which will be even more heavy with the up-coming dual WC loop in it. Only thing that is bad with that new desk is that i will never (Or almost) see the back of the mobo tray side. Which will have most of my second loop parts :( I kinda like to keep an eye on my stuff. Oh well, i might try to fix this by either modding or adding something for the case.

Elusid Hmm... I have a problem with those ports! They seem to not be capable of USB 2.0 for me. Every time i plug in my digi cam it says that this port isn't USB 2.0 and that it could perform better in another port. The second port on the keyboard does the same thing. When i plug it in the back of my momo (The digi cam) all is fine. Quite weird. I have installed the Razer drivers. What do you think ?

Yeah I have the same prob with mine but I think it's because it's a un-powered hub. If you plug anything in that needs any sort of power behind it (External HDD, Web cam, etc) then it will just say that it doesn't have enough power to power it =/ Also I've noticed that the transfer speeds are much slower then if I just plugged a thumb drive into the back of my comp. They are useful for some things I guess but not all unfortunately  Still love the keyboard though =D

Well, i just sent xoxide.com an e-mail asking a replacement for that Tarantula keyboard :( It seems that some keys on that keyboard are acting weird! Some keys would just require me to press them extremely hard to actually type the letter\number. Some other keys would just type double! I press the key one time and it puts up 2 letters\numbers?!

For 100$ a keyboarrd, i (See, 2 r and i pressed it once...) am EXPECTING nothing less than perfection. That is really pissing me off tho. At first, i was making a lot of errors typing on that nice new keyboard and i thought it was just because i had to get used... But then i just noticed those problems and then i tried all keys one by one... Which is how i found those problems.

This is really sad. Now it's up to xoxide.com to get me a replacement quick! I guess that'll test their customer service and RMA department!

dude, that is going to be one killer system. and i have to agree with you on ultra psu's back in the day, they were not the best. but i have to say now, they are coming along pretty good. ive recently bought a Ultra Xfinity 600watt for my back-up system and it powers everything i have in it. so yes, they are getting alot better. ive got a few friends that have the tarantula keyboard and they seem too like it. havent heard them complain about the keys yet, guess you might have gotten one that didnt get tested all the way.

keep up the good work man, looking good with the parts, waiting to see what it looks like in the case.

just curious is that your old case down beside your desk or is that a back-up system.

It's my rig ATM. The one i am using to type this. It'll be teared apart for my new build. The P5B Deluxe and E6600 in it will be for my second rig Crunching 24\7 for XS :D Since it'll be my second rig, i plan on selling my second Crunching rig i have ATM which is an AMD s939 X2 4800+, Corsair 3500LL, Lexa case, Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe.

Yeah, i have been reading, it seems that i am not the same one to have got such problem with the keyboard. I read a reply somewhere where a guy would have the same exact problem... He said he RMAed the keyboard and got a new one which he said was all fine. I have asked Xoxide.com to pay shipping and they don't want to. So that makes 130-140$ for that freaking keyboard... Anyway, i am asking them to test the new keyboard they'll send me so i don't end up with the same cr@p.

Thanks for the kind words BTW :D Keep your eyes on the thread, lots of work is coming! If luck is on my side, no problems or anything will encounter my project so all should be completed in 2 weeks or so. Great thread, Patriote!

Disrupfam
I think its 150mm square and definitely dual input voltage.
AC Input Voltage: 115V/230V
AC Input Frequency: 50-60Hz
AC Input Currents:
· 13A (RMS) for 115VAC input
· 8A (RMS) for 230VAC input
Sure tempting at 1000watt. The 620 Corsair has the same leads for all it's modular leads but not the 24-pin etc. Might have to consider this psu in the future myself. Ouch $360au by the time it arrives. Still comparable with others here and with none fully modular 1000 units here.

I asked if i could get refunded for the back-order PA120.2 and they quickly replied back to me, as always, whit a nice "Hi James" and a "I have forwarded your request to our processing department. They will remove the part from your order and refund the payment back to your credit card account.". Simply awesome. I have RMAed 3 kit of ram in a few months and each and every times, the RMA went smooth, quick and trouble-less.

Ok guys, i need help here.

My problem is that, on the back of that EVGA 680I, there are a lot of "Transistors" (Not sure what the right name is...) and i have to mount a back plate behind that mobo. One for my Tuniq when i'll be using it and then one more for my FuZion. The problem is that those little transistors are going to either touch or be like really close to the metal back-plate... So i was thought of cutting 3 small pieces of Black Electrical tape to cover them up in case the back-plate would touch them. Good idea? What do you guys think about this?

Heres some pics to explain.

But first, you guys should know that i have been working all evening on cleaning the back of the mobo since the friend who sold me that mobo was using a rather weird backplate which was hooked onto the back of the mobo with some sort of sticky sticker\stuff. And i have been working all evening to try to remove that freaking gunk\glue! With a lot of alcohol, fresh air since it would make me be dizzy after a while and some time, i managed to clean it off.

Here is what it looks after the removal of the backplate and then after the cleaning :

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/DSC_0825.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666011.jpg

And heres those little "Transistors" that are in the way :

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666001.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666006.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666004.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666008.jpg

And here is what it looks like with 3 small pieces of Black Electrical tape :

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666020.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666023.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/78666026.jpg

So what do you guys think, am i safe?

PS: I am like 99% sure that neither of those small "Transistors" are going to be crushed with the backplate. The black electrical tape is just in case of a small\tiny contact...

all that and then a tuniq tower? kinda disappointing.

you can spray the back of that motherboard with either silicone or rubber in a can, i had to do the same thing with another board, unfortunately all i had on tap was red high temperature exhaust manifold paint for a car  but it worked great.

kinghong1970

shorting it out is an issue for sure but what about the pressure applied to thems delicate lil things?

10-04-2007, 08:04 PM
Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, a Tuniq tower to begin with. Run the beast on air for a day or 2 until the case is ready, then all hooked onto watercooling.

Linus, where can i find such foam ?

BTW: I can't use a different back-plate since the one for the Tuniq is specially designed for the Tuniq and neither the custom one Turtle included or my Thermalright will cut it for the Tuniq. Only solution i see is to hook a piece of foam. But now, where can i find such ? I have some "noise absorption and insulation" stuff. Would that be all right ?

Thanks guys!

Tip, never ever stick a back plate on a board. Depending on the store, you may not be able to take it back if it's faulty.

Do you know what brand back plate left the sticky stuff you cleaned? Kinda curious.
Those components can be crushed as well as shorted. I remember having to cut a couple of clearance holes in a Zalman 9700 backplate I initially used. 9700 users were having to do that or rma the board all over the evga forum, untill evga revised behind the socket.

You are right m8! The friend who sold me the board had that back-plate customized to fit behind the mobo. No clue which one it is but i know he modded it.

Yeah, that 24" kicks some major @sses! :yepp: It looks small on the pic but if you look at it and compare it to my U2-UFO on the pic, knowing that the U20UFO is 18.5" per 18.5" per 18.5", you know that it's huge! lol

I am going to update the third post again since i just finished cleaning my room and also finished mounting everything on the bench table :D Check this out!

Yesterday night and this morning, i have been trying to figure out a problem. I have posted my problem on EVGA forums. Let's see what gives but i am like 90% sure that one of the PCI-Express slot on my mobo is dead.

All is connected. Even the 4-pin molex connector for SLI. Not that i am thinking of this, maybe i shouldn't plug it? More testing is definitely required.

I'll work on it tonight and tomorrow. If i can't get anything, i'll RMA the board and will buy a new one right tomorrow. When the RMAed one gets back, it'll be for sale. NO MORE TIME TO WASTE!

Well, well, well... Guys, ive been to 3 local store i could found near where i live today and neither had an EVGA 680I A1 nor the P5N32-SLI Deluxe...

Also, just a few mins ago, i removed the Tuniq tower and back-plate thinking it would help, i also tried a few other things but neither would make the comp boot on screen with a GPU in the upper slot.

Hell, i tried to boot without any GPU at all and it gave me the same error beep code i get when 1 GPU is hooked in the upper slot. Which i suppose means that the upper PCI-E is really dead. What really bug me is that it has worked for the original boot. The very first boot i did back 2 days ago, I had hooked both card in SLI with the bridge and had connected my DVI cable into the first card in the upper PCI-Express slot. Which means that it was working at that time. Right when i had a look around in the bios and rebooted to save the changes, the upper PCI-Express slot had died. After that, it worked 1 or 2 times again but it would always fail when i'd reboot.

Now, it's true and sure, i need a new mobo.

See? This is how things are for me. It's always like that. I did not even started my watercooling project yet and already problems are starting to take place. What a pain man...

I see that you are getting another EVGA A1. You're in good shape. If you ever need, don't buy a P5N32..make sure you buy a Striker Extreme rev. 1.03g (and not a rev. 1.00). But you don't need such advice now.

Sorry for the long wait guys but i have been having major problems getting a freaking EVGA 680I A1 to work! First mobo had a dead PCI-Express slot and the second one just refuse to boot... Nothing not even a beep code or any letters\numbers on the leds. It's basically DOA. I'm sending back the second one to the person i bought it and will get a refund on it. As for the first one, tomorrow im sending it to my good friend and he will take care of getting a replacement from his local store and send me the new one, which i am hoping that will work flawlessly...

Still have to find the right place for the pumps. The HDDs will be hooked on the front fan under the 5.25 bays so the second pump can't go there. I think the first pump for the CPU\Chipset loop will be in front of the motherboard and the second pump (for the second loop) might go under the EK res so that i will be able to router the tubing under the HDDs and up to the Pa120.2 barb. I'll have to turn around the Ek Res and remove the side barb to hook it under the res. We'll see! More coming as i receive the new EVGA 680I A1 mobo...

Hope you enjoyed!

I will have the replacement for your first mobo as fast I can. I will see if they will test to confirm defect while I am in the shop and they will give me a retail box right after. Gotta love Memoryexpress IPR program

I went through a hardware killing phase about two years ago. I killed a DFI NF4 Ultra-D, and a FX-53 and 2 kits of TCCD all within a two week span. I couldnt beleive it, but haven't killed anything since.

It is too bad my board died tho. It was a cherry board and ran perfectly. I hope the new one is good to go too. I will have to test it for you before I send it, the worst thing I can imagine is sending you the replacement and it tossing C1 at you.

Small Update! November 05-2007

Ok, so as i said, the new board from my good friend Turtletrax is working :)

I had some problems tho. At first, i hooked everything (4GB RAM, G80s in SLI and Q6600) on air with stock cooler and booted. All went fine. I installed Vista and all required and latest drivers, loaded 3Dmark06 and got a 13k result... I was like WTF! I do that on a Single 8800GTX with my E6600 @ 3.7Ghz and RAM @ 1000Mhz 5-5-5-15 on my P5B Deluxe. So, i worked around. Installed a fresh Vista copy again, tried single card, formated again, reinstalled drivers lots of times etc... and finally, i thought "Hey, im running 2 8800GTXs in SLI on a Stock Q6600 (2.4Ghz) and im expecting something like 17k" lol

So, when running with a single 800GTX, i was getting like 10k. Thats all stock. Q6600 G0 @ 2.4Ghz (On stock cooler), Ram @ 800Mhz 5-5-5-15 *2GB* and nothing tweaked in Bios. When running dual cards in SLI, I'd get 13k.

So i thought, maybe by Ocing the CPU, I'll get a higher score? So, i went ahead and teared apart the system. Hooked my Tuniq tower on that new mobo and booted. Now i was running SLI and i started working on the Oc. I oced the Q6600 to 3Ghz with 1.32v Stable. I just ran 3Dmark06 tonight and here is what i got :

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/SLI_15k001.jpg

So that means that Ocing the CPU about 600Mhz = close to 3K more in 3Dmark06! So, for a normal Oc, say 3.6Ghz, I'd get around 18k :) Now thats better Heh! Maybe if i Oc a little more those 8800GTXs factory oced, i can manage 20k!

Anybody in here have 8800GTXs in SLI with a Quad core? What kind of score are they getting? Thanks!

PS: More updates will come tomorrow. I will try to Oc a bit more that CPU tonight and tomorrow i need to go grab my new G11 keyboard, my G9 mouse and those 2 Chrom barbs for my PA120.2! While I'm out, I'll go grab a few bottles of Distilled water @ my drug store :) And I'll get ready for the Watercooling part of the project!

EDIT: Here is where i am going to place the pumps.

PS: Don't mind the dust all over the case... This project (And case..) has been sitting in my table for weeks now..

Well, for 3pin fans, i use a paper fold and for 4pin molex, i use a blade :) Works well. Since you live in Australia, i really doubt I know of any retailers for you...Heh! But looks for "sleeving tool kits"

Now, I'm having some serious Overclocking issues! I must of booted and restarted hundreds of times yesterday night. Can't seem to boot into windows with 3.3Ghz... It's not related to the FSB since i am able to boot @ 8x CPU multi and 1600FSB. I give the CPU 1.45v for a miserable 3.3Ghz... Something is wrong... More tweaking is required i think...

maybe it's just a bad CPU, but I don't think you're THAT lucky, lol, don't know what could it be, it should go more with a bit more voltage, no special tweaking at such low freqs, RMA it cause it doesn't clock good enough

Hey Patriote.

Try turning the HT link voltage to 1.6v and lower MCP/SPP links down to 4X. Also mess with unlined and linked memory speeds. Also there are FSB holes on the 680i, so upping FSB past the point you are stuck.

Also what MCP chip does the board have? It will either be the 570 or 590.

Hope this isnt another stumbling block...

Glad to know that my guide is helping ppls :)

Here is what i been working on :

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/35Ghz_2hStable.jpg

BTW: Yeah, i did the vdroop mod! 1.432v IDLE and 1.44v LOAD

Well, it seems that i can't get any higher than 3.5Ghz with that CPU. Last month, i hooked that Q6600 G0 on watercooling on my P5B Deluxe and i couldn't get 3.5Ghz Stable during Prime95 and it would require extremely high voltage just for booting into windows @ 3.6Ghz... Like 1.43v for 3.5Ghz stable and 1.5v just to boot into windows @ 3.6Ghz. I even tried 1.53v and it would still fail during Prime95... Over such voltage and it's completely useless... But i thought it was because i was using that P5B Deluxe and i thought "If i get a Quad core supported mobo such as that EVGA 680I A1" i would be able to go higher but it seems that it's not the case... So, the CPU is limiting the Oc.

The same exact thing is happening. I can do 389x9=3.5Ghz or 438x8=3.5Ghz but really can't do 400x9=3.6Ghz whatever vcore i give the CPU...

I'm stuck here. What do you guys think i should do? Run an E6600 that can do 3.7-3.8Ghz with that system or run a Q6600 @ 3.5Ghz?

There is that QX6850 ES That does 4.1Ghz on watercooling on sale on some forum. I am very tempted :D

what's the diff between having a quad @ 3.5ghz and 4ghz besides bragging rights??

I don't know of many games that take advantage of raw cpu clock speed...

Maybe getting them gtx's to run faster you need a higher clocked cpu so they wouldn't bottleneck???

Unless you after high benchmarking score's i wouldn't worry 2much...but if you have that much money left to burn go it for it....

Why not just wait for the q9450? :)

too bad for that quad, I think you should test the scores with the E6600 at 3.8GHz and compare them with your G0, then see if E6600 wins by a small margin, take the G0, if it wins by quite more, use the E6600.
oh, and also you can try upping the FSB from 3.5GHz one (1) step at the time and see where it doesn't want to go more ;) HTH

That cpu tube might be a pain getting clamps on. Fuzion has its barbs fairly tight together. That thick a tube wall could create hassles.

Love it, really. I thought it would be weak and all but seriously, the Tarantula feels weaker to me Lol!

Yeah, the 40c idle is with my Tuniq and i think i mounted a bit too fast. And there is like a sick amount of Thermal compound used... I mounted the Tuniq like 3-4 times today and for the last 2 times, i didn't bother cleaning the CPUs with Alcohol... I just hooked a rice grain of thermal compound everytime in the middle Lol.

Temps are probably going to be way better with my FuZion and Nozzles.

Time for some Update! November 20-2007

Well guys, this project has been a total nightmare since it has began weeks ago already. And it still is...

Here is what i have been working on recently. But before showing pics, heres the short version of the story. So when i decided to start looping all my stuff, i don't really why but i could of predicted something would go wrong... So i only looped the CPU\NB... Once all was cool, I powered the comp and nothing on screen nor on the leds. The leds would only show -- and no beep or anything.

So, of course, as you can imagine, i had to tear the whole comp and blocks etc... Apart and hook it back on my bench table (On air) to find what the problem was. After doing all the job, i powered the comp with the stock Intel cooler and all booted fine... So i went ahead and hooked everything back into the case under watercooling and booted. Nothing would boot again... I was totally upset. The comp would boot on my bench table on air but not with my watercooling stuff in my case...

Anyway, so after working on it for hours\days i managed to fix the dman motherboard! Yes, It's now Alive! It's Alive! Using my Q6600 G0 and both 8800GTXs (Stock coolers) and 4GB of ram, all is now fine.

Now heres the pics of my journey (Which is not completed @ all  )

Received 2 packs of Nozzles for my FuZion (One for me and 1 for my great freind Tortletrax :)) + some Tygon Tubing.

Now remember i said the comp would not boot...? I took it apart, hooked it on my Bench table, all working on my bench table so hooked everything back into the case with watercooling and it still wasn't working. After hours\days, i managed to fix the comp and here is what it looks like ATM!

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5563.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5577.jpg

Not bad @ all but it won't be like that for too long...
___________________________________________

Now what i am planning to do in the next few days is to first, build another computer using my good'ol P5B Deluxe\E6600\7800GTX right on my Bench table. This comp will be my 24/7 Crunching rig since my AMD set-up died :( During my journey, one night i came back from work and noticed my Cruncher was shut off. Power was on and all...But comp would not boot. After working a bit on the comp, i found out that the mobo is DEAD! One more piece of hardware to add the pile of dead hardware i have.

Anyway, so yeah, build that other comp with the E6600 but first i will test that QX6800ES. I am currently running my Q6600 G0 (That OCs like sh*t) on my main rig because the damn QX6800ES was acting extremely weird. Comp would shut off in random times etc.. So i went ahead and replaced it with my Q6600 G0 until i can investigate a bit more on what is wrong with that QX6800ES.

So, build that new rig, test the QX6800ES and see if it's all right (If not send it back and get a refund from Mr. Wang...) and then I will start working\finish my main rig!

My future plans for my main rig are to watercool the GPUs. But while I'm @ it, i decided to re-loop the CPU loop and include the SB in the loop since the Pure copper SB heatsink you could see on the pics isn't doing it's job @ all. Temps goes in the 70c on the MCP if i don't hook that 80mm fan between the 2 GTXs ... With the 80mm fan, i get around 55c or so. Still, pretty damn hot. It needs watercooling. So i went ahead and again spent more money... I Ordered another MCW30.

I will post more pics as the job gets done. Looping CPU\NB\SB and looping the 2 GPUs. Should be done and working all fine in the next week, hopefully...

A lill of topic, if you want I can delete my post:

I have a MCR320 + MCP655 + Fuzion. I can exchange my rad for a PA120.3 (and roll back the money, of corse). Do you think that I shoud do that? When I'm priming @ 3900Mhz the MCR320 gets warm...almost HOT :( and the temps go to the sky (69ºC core temp).

What shoud I do? Just an advice for me (if possible). If not I will delete my post...

IanY has it right. As stubborn as you are, I know you will get this done and it will be spectacular at the end. Also my take on the Enzo SB cooler is that is is sandwidched between those space heaters known as 8800GTX's. Once you get those looped up might be better. But that SB is Nvidia silicon, so we all know what that means... Break out another WB!!!

Looks like I have to start Pimpin' and Ho'in' to get a MM case. :D

What fans do you have on the MCR?? Might try more airflow before going the PA120.3 way. Also what are your ambient temps?

BTW: A quick vid i just made : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKoEYAGSDD0

Enjoy :)

PS: The bubbles you see in the res aren't bubbles remaining from an un-completed bleeding. It's just how the res is made. That DDC is literally flowing like madness lol and that causes the water to shake a lot in the top part of the res. When comp is shut off, water is calm and all bubbles disappear in an instant. As soon as comp is powered on, bubbles starts flowing Heh. But all is good! Not a single bubble gets into the loop. Never!

Sim Meu Camarada,

You can ask me anything you like at anytime :)

Like Patriote says, if you have the money, then most definitely return the MCR320 and get a PA120.3. However, if you have the right case and the right amount of space, your interests would be better served with a second MCR320 (will turn out cheaper than a PA120.3), but I think you would also be well served with a second MCP655/D5 pump for extra head pressure and extra flow, plus redundancy against equipment failure.

Anyway, I'm making it too complicated. Just exchange that MCR320for a PA120.3. I need to know what fans tiy have on the radiator and what are they running at... 7v, 12v.. rpm speed...

Forgive me if this has already been stated else where, but is your 120.2 rad in a push/pull configuration? I just want to get an idea of how much room I will have when mounting my hard drives like you did, but only in a push configuration.

BTW, excellent build log. It has been interesting following it from start to finish (almost..lol).

I got it with my bench table lol It was supposed to be used on the bottom part of it to prevent the PSU and DVD burner to move around. I suppose it's around 1\4" thick. Anyway, so i took it and sticked some sound dampening material so my stuff doesn't move around on the bottom of my bench table :)

Really, i have no clue what i did to fix it. I just booted and booted so often and also tried everything i could think of to get that thing to boot. The mobo was booting on air on my bench table but not in my case with watercooling. Everything that comes to your mind, i tried it. Until it started showing 1D on the leds but wouldn't boot. Played with a few more thing, cleared cmos a thousands times etc... and Voila - It was now booting fine :)

I have about 1-2 hours of video log i recorded. In those vids, you see me whining, yelling and almost crying ROFL. Basically, you see how the work goes and finally, how i get my ideas to fix the mobo and stuff.

Update! November 24-07

All right ppls! I did quite a lot of job recently and still, i need to do some more this week-end as I'm off and i received my second MCW30 for my SB!

I'll let the pics talk by themself!

So i wanted to test that new QX6800ES on my P5B Deluxe before i hook it under watercooling just to make sure that all was working fine with it since it was acting extremely weird when i had hooked it under water on my EVGA 680I A1. So i began to work on building my second rig on my Bench table!

Working on doing my little Back-plate (Again) for my Tuniq Tower.
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5593.jpg

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5596.jpg

P5B Deluxe being prepared (With QX6800ES G0 hooked).
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5602.jpg

Pretty much one of the best looking i did :D
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5608.jpg

Almost completed!
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5613.jpg

Completed! (Ram remaining of be taken from my main rig. Now will have 2GB in each comp instead of 4GB for main comp. Might buy a cheap 2GB kit for that second rig tho.
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5620.jpg

Stuff that arrived yesterday :D
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/IMG_5633.jpg

All right so here is a quick result for that QX6800ES G0 on my Bench table with the Tuniq and P5B deluxe.
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/QX6800ESG034Gz_1320v-Copy.jpg

(That's 3.4Ghz with 1.320v and temps are 70c\70c\63c\63c. Stable over 8hours of Prime95. Ram running @ 425Mhz 5-5-5-15 2T 2.0v)

Not bad @ all but look @ the temps! Thats on air tho. And I might be able to do higher with 1.320v! I basically just set that voltage and bumped the FSB.

Now, just an hour ago, i hooked that QX6800ES in my main rig under H20 :) All powered fine and no auto shut down like it used to do last week.

Here are the IDLE temps
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff168/Xtreme_Patriote/XETM/tt2.jpg

Pretty much a good difference over the Tuniq :p: I was getting 45c IDLE with the Tuniq.

All right so i have my whole week end off and i received my stuff from NCIX.com! One day of shipping  Pretty Darn fast eh! I'm ready to rebuilt my CPU\NB\SB loop from scratch!

Will post Update as more work is completed! Keep an eye on the thread guys! One of the best looking rig is to be completed soon! :D
