Built a new pc and installed Vista 64 without a hitch. But lately I start the PC and it boots normal, gets to the little green line showing Vista is starting then goes blank and stays there.

Then, after a reboot when it comes to the page where I can choose whether I want to safe boot my USB keyboard wont work so I have to let it boot up normally....:shakes:

Any Ideas ?....my specs below

Q6600
3GB Ram PC6400 C4 Corsair
IP35 Pro
8800GTX
Maxtor 500GB
Maxtor 320GB
Corsair 620HX

Thanks

I think that I have had your problem. I too would get to the Vista load bar and after that a long wait until Windows started. I found out that I had to turn off my external hard drive before boot up in order to load Vista normally.

Is that what you mean?
