Got an Apex kit and setting it up. Didn't see anything in the instructions about pump orientation. The way the baseplate is attached it appears they want you to mount it a certain way. It would work better for me in a different orientation. See pic. Any problems with way I want to mount it???

I've been running mine sideways for about 6 months now. Not a problem.

As long as the inlet is not facing down, your fine.

yup, mine is that way also
