View Full Version : DFI ""LT"" P35-T2R~~~No Transpiper Version

AndreYang

I know some people didn't like Transpiper heatsink, so DFI produced new version P35-T2R. This version will not have Transpiper and cheaper than UT P35-T2R.

DFI named this new version is ""LT P35-T2R""

I share some pics to everyone.

The BIOS options are all the same from UT P35-T2R. It's only different from heatsink.

The price is cheaper about 30 USD.

I wonder why didn't they release this first and sell the transpiper as an addon :|
They would have gotten to market much sooner!

Wow, the heatpipe version is $299, so this will be $269? Stupidly priced for a P35 board when a $129 DS3R + a $30 Thermalright NB heatsink will clock just as good in most cases, and it'll probably be more stable too.

Obviously 30$ doesn't make any big difference...even with this "price cut" both UT P35-T2R remain too pricey, almost double than Blood Iron DFI INFINITY P35-T2RL.
Indeed,stupidly priced these DFI mobos.

err heatpipe version on motherboard pro is 270. why on earth would the infinity be more stable? also if you have a quad 4 phase pwm aint gunna cut it.

the heatsink for the pwm still has the space and holes for that external heatpipe thing, is there any reason for that?

Still why would i pay 230+ for a motherboard where i can buy a Asus P5k for 130 dollars or so. Also, you have to know not even one is benching their motherboard with LN2 etc. This is ridiculous.

You should not compare vanilla P5K to a high end board ...
Infinity P35 is 139 USD in egg and it's 4 phase compare to vanilla P5K 3 phase (135 in egg) ...

Forget the transpiper. Rather than that, what about existing customers with the UT, who want to watercool. Is the mosfet heatsink as per the LT going to be available?

Thanks.

I don't know my personal opinion is that the Full version with the Trans piper is very well thought out and very nice indeed. Perhaps a secondary separately sold trans piper for south bridge would be very nice add on also seeing how the electrical end of things pretty much shuts down 2 of the working slots when in X4 mode.

Good to see DFI doing something again though:yepp:

Good board either with or without the transpiper - would have preferred the without version but I am not complaining. For the simple reason that unlike both my Asus motherboards I have no need to volt mod or to do any kind of mod to get the max out of the tech that I have at my disposal. And as was correctly stated DFi do seem to listen and more importantly adapt their products to what consumers are saying.

My one gripe is that I would like to see their products be more speedily introduced into the market but for that to happen tier one mobo manufacture status would be needed to be granted to DFi.

Someone said something to me about the shipping charges a few weeks ago. Then 3-day was more then that.

I've been heavily recommending MotherboardPro because of the pricing and outstanding customer service. But wasn't going to continue if people were getting raped on shipping.

Being as I have a UPS account I configured a shipment from me to them using the same dimensions and weight as the board they would ship to me. For both 3-day and next-day shipping the cost was within less then a dollar they were quoting.

While the shipping charges are unreasonable, at least with me, they are quoting the price they are bing charged.

I ordered it about 3 hours ago from newegg. It will be here Friday. I watercool my cpu and plan on having it all hooked up by Friday afternoon. I plan on taking off the northbridge hs and putting a Swiftech MCX-159cu in its place, then placing a 40mm fan on the pwn hs. Hopefully that will keeps temps nice and low so I can push my Q6600 G0 to it's limits.

An update for those that care...:D

Just finished installing this mobo in my system. It's up and running without a single issue (so far). Right now, it's humming along at a paltry 9x333 (3.0ghz) at all stock voltages and settings. Vista 64 is installed and updated. As soon as I get a few more things done, I will stress test it.

Just as an FYI, this Ultra X3 1000watt psu that I am using works just fine with this DFI board. Also, the Swiftech MCX-159cu nb cooler does NOT fit on the nb. There is a small cap that blocks it from being installed.
