Good afternoon everybody,

I have a single stick of a Samsung DD400.

If I plan to overclock my P4 2.6c to 280 FSB or so, my memory will stops me of doing so ?

Do I need a better memory ?

If I buy another DDR400 stick, of the same 512 MB, it will be possible to activate the DUAL MODE ?

Cheers

Adding a second stick will automatically activate dual channel.
You can set memory at 5:4 or, when using high FSB, 3:2.

280FSB out of a 2.6C might be tad difficult, specially on air, unless you have a good chip, use WC or phase change cooling.

So,

Adding another DDR 400 stick, no matter what brand, will activate the dual channel perfectly ?

Which is THE BEST memory avaible for my MOBO right now ?

Cheers again

OCZ PC3700 Gold
Kingston HyperX PC3500
Corsair XMS PC3500

If you're gonna add another stick, try to find the same Samsung stick as you have right now, this for avoiding incompatibility problems.

sorry, but what is phase change cooling ?

And Iam thinking of getting this TWIN PACKS at 3700 or 3500 DDRs ?

a 2x256 of them its better than my Samsung Stick and another 512 stick of other brand ?

PS: any advices on the best AC systems for CPU, GPU, Chipset and HD ?

thanks

I noticed today in my testing that PC was very very unstable at the 250fsb region even in 3/2 mode with on stick installed for Single Channel....After installing the second stick again, I was able to resume my usual higher fsbs

Anyone else got this? Maybe you could get a higher OC with another stick X-WoLv-X  :D
hehehehe
