I've tried two different 2x1GB kits in my P5K-VM and none of them work at DDR2-800 even if I push the voltage all the way up to 2.1V. I either get memtest failures or BSODs. The kits I have tried are the OCZ 2G8002GK (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227124) (rated @ 2.1V) and 2P800R22GK (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227139) (rated @ 1.9-2.1V). Again I have tried pushing the voltage on both, all the way up to 2.1V which is the max on the P5K-VM, and even relaxing the timings to 5-5-5-15. If I run them at DDR2-667, everything works perfectly.

Does anyone know if there is a 2x1GB DDR2-800 kit that will definitely work on this board?

Hello, this memory should work. Try clearing your BIOS completely by unplugging your PSU and removing your battery for 1 minute. The install one stick. You should be able to boot and get into your BIOS to set you memory voltage to 2.1v per spec. Then save, shut down and install the 2nd stick.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks
