I am going to add an additional rad to my swiftech compact setup in hopes to lower my quad's temps abit more and help out with overall case airflow. I have a lian li a05 small case and will be modding the top to fit the additional swiftech MCR220. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this "upgrade"? I am very new to water cooling and have attached my parts list. Any help would as usual be very much appreciated!

The rad at the bottom is part of the swiftech compact kit and will be staying (also has a res in it). I will be installing the new rad on the top of the case.

hey there, please educate me - how are they on wrong? :) I already ordered the swiftech MCR220 as I wanted to have them both by the same manufacture. Also, I am going to hold off on cooling my GPU right now being that it isn't being used for gaming and I'm not sure the pump I have can support the new rad + gpu.

note i see that you have the hoses on wrong on current setup.

Are you going to cool the GPU too? for thats a big heat load in the case, mite as well go for the MCW60.for the rad best go with ThermoChill PA120.1 for it has a bleed screw on it. or order the 1 u want and switch rads around to have the fill port on top

You really want those fans on a radiator? They only move ~25CFM each....in open air.

I got higher airflow fans instead thanks

page 5 suggest that you can add rad NB GPU blocks.
NOTE: not for the weak hands, if want more out of pump then do some porting on inlet with dremel

The threads on the fittings you chose are too big and the wrong type for the rad. You need G1/4" fittings to fit the 1/4"NPSM threaded bungs on the MCR220QP.

I'm wondering if you have an air bubble that's causing your warm temps seeing your pump/block is on wrong.

thanks, I ordered a metal one with the correct size. I guess I'll see when I get my new rad :)
