How do I run my own CS server?

I want to start a server for my friends and I to play in...
We are all mostly FL based but maybe some other locations too...

What do I need to do to set up a PC as a gaem server?
Is there a different version of CS to install?

Anybody have specific info that will help me set this up?

Main thing you need is bandwidth. http://www.counter-strike.net will have the dedicated server programs for DL, though you can use your Half-life client to run as server with a lot of overhead. I'd estimate 512k/512k minimum for decent lag/pings.
