does anyone know if 2 OCZ 4GB 2 x 2GB DDR2 800 can run 1t

was up everyone out there im thinking about buying 2 OCZ 4GB 2 x 2GB DDR2 6400 for my sever :up: (i will be using a qx 6850 and 4 150 gb raptors or more if the new asus x38 board supports it
(would get ddr 3 but damm to much right now)

Computer parts are so cheap..

Make a cheap ass bare Bones Pentium D your server.

7600 Video Card.. Couple HDD, Generic $10.00 case and a Giga NIC.

If they can run 1t it will be more dependent on the motherboard. I have no idea what the X38 mobo can do. Might need to see if any one does it and ask them. But usually if 2GBs of ram run at 1t theres no reason why 8Gbs wont do it other than whether the northbridge can handle it.

.now the only thing have have to do is find a nice isp for my net radio show
good thing i have some time im looking at 2008 to open up

i was also looking at the dfi x38 mobo
its got something to where it combines the 2 ether nets band width tighter
yes very nice-uh


so im going to get 1 more isp so if one goes down im still up and running

its not so much the amount - its the fact that all 4 DIMM slots will be occupied. Not many MCs can do 4 DIMMS @ 1T - dunno about X38...
