Bioshock - Extra place to go after finishing the game?

I beat the final boss (way too easy on Hard >.>) but I remembered there was another location that doesn't have a name when you're in that sphere. There are eight spots, the last one is blank.. the next one I can go to is "Proving Grounds" to fight the final boss.

I looked through some guides too.. nobody seems to say anything about it.

There is always a blank spot for the location you are at. No hidden area available from the sphere.

I realize that. The seventh place to go is where I'm at. The location of the last boss. The last choice of eight is completely blank.
