Hi guys!

I have an old laptop with a Pentium 3 M, 600MHz, 128MB of RAM and a 20GB HDD, I have WinXP installed, but it runs rather slow...I want that thing for internet surfing, what OS (linux) would be best for it?? I want it to be quicker than WinXP, so what can you recommend? I won't play any games on it, so I really don't need Microsoft OS!!
Thx in advance!

If you don't have a background in Linux, you should shoot for Ubuntu.

I have only little background, had some Suse distribution some years ago on one of my rigs, it worked rather fine...is ubuntu a free distro? Is installation made "easy"?? Is there a way during installation to choose what to install and what not?

And thanks for your help!!

All of that is available in Ubuntu, it is definitely my vote.
