Max everything and get a frame rate over a smoothe 30fps.

I have a quad 6600,8800 gtx and 2gb ram and i still can get a average over 30fps.

Cheers

Flight Simulator X

Sounds pretty low at 30fps, but ive heard its demanding as hell.

Yes very demanding on max settings night flight's i dip below 20fps.I heard fsx doesn't support sli yet so adding another gpu won't help.Would having 4gb ram help?I love this game but it's very frustrating playing it when it's chugging along slowly

cheers

A much faster core. Almost all most games out there can't advantage of quad-core and unfortunately Flight Sim X is no different.
An E6750 or E6850 or hell even a E6600 would be better for Flight Sim X.

So unless you OC your chip or get a new one, you simply wont. Also, if your running vista you are going to be losing a few frames.

Are you sure??? i heard fsx supports up to 32cores

and me going back to a e6600 from a quad 6600 would be plain stupid imho

AFAIK FSX with the latest patch hugely benefits from multiple cores, ie. quad > dual.
