I first had an e6400 with VID 1.325v and it was possible to raise the Vcore from 1.35v to 1.7250.
Now today i installed a e6600 with VID 1.2500v. Now suddenly i can raise the Vcore from 1.25v to 1.65v.
This limits me in my overclock :(

Is this normal?, can it be adjusted?

Using Abit AB9-PRO, tried bios 19 and 20.

recent abit's have BIOS that sets the lowest manually selectable Vcore according to the VID so that part is normal & it looks like they have set VID + 0.4V as the range.
It's possible that someone may be able to mod the BIOS for you to allow a larger range.
