to cool down a Radeon 9700P ?
will this allow me to overclock higher ?
and if so, what is a good heatsink for this purpose ?

yes, it's possible. It might let you overclock higher.

A good heatsink is a stock AMD one, make sure it's aluminum. Soem people use sk-6's but, to me it's overkill and risky.

I used a cut down stock AMd one on my geforce 3, and it worked great.
