hello all.. :) *waves*

xs noobie here..I'm not really sure if this is the correct forum, but it seemed the most appropriate.

i just recently bought one of the IP35-Pro boards last week, along with an entirely new system, that seems to be running fine; cept for one major problem.. I'm not really sure if it is the motherboard, but it's either that or the RAM (i'm leaning towards the former)

my specs are:
CPU: e6750 running 3.84ghz (480x8) @ 1.475v
Motherboard: aBit IP35-pro (the newer BIOS, 11 i think it was)
Optical Drives: pioneer 212D
Hard Drives: WD 320gb
Power Supply: corsair HX-620w
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB DDR2-1066
Video Card: ASUS 8600GT 256MB
Cooling setup: Tuniq 120 on the CPU, with the 2 rear fans that came with my P182.
OS: WinXP Pro w/sp2 + updated to May 07

i've run orthos for 6 hours on the CPU stress test, and it was fine, however, if I run the RAM test.. it will take no more than 10 seconds for the to error. Even if i reduce the dividers to 1:1 (960mhz.. lower than stock!) it'll run for about 3 minutes before it errors up...

Even with the default divider of 1:1.2 (1152mhz), i tried boosting the dimm voltage to 2.25v, and that still didn't help it erroring...

i tried to use only one stick (single channel mode), and try all the dimm slots, in case it was a faulty slot.. however they all managed to get to 4minutes on the orthos ram test (i know it's not alot, but that was on default clock of 1152mhz already)

i know i should run memtest, but before I do i'm just kind of baffled as to pinpointing what would be the cause of this?

thanks in advance, and apologies if i didn't provide enough information; just ask!

Well I would definitly try running memtest see if it brings up any errors, thats what I would do anyway, would be a good idea to post the query on the following forums:-

Official Abit Forums

yup, i've ran memtest, and it was fine at 960mhz, with 2.0v..

however, at 1152 at 2.2v, it kept erroring..

thanks for those sites though, i'll post on them and see what comes up.

i think at this point i may just RMA the board..
