Yeah, batch and vid please. I wonder if these quads play nice with DDR3.

I have one capture on 3.6G 1.34V

set Large FTTs priority 9

blend and "paging" will crap your os/hdd

nice quad core :)

I bet this mini split help the temp ;)

GripS
08-18-2007, 06:44 PM
I don't believe it. If you're putting 1.6+v through that quad on air cooling there is no way in hell the temps would be that low under load.

see the mini split head over his setup ?

the AC is probably helping a lot and his prime95 shot show it's paging...

A-HA! Nice catch, that will help a lot!! Because there's no way that CPU would be that cool just on AIR.

GripS
08-18-2007, 07:10 PM
Yup. Very misleading. Should be 4.3ghz on air with AC blasting on it. Although that would have to be a pretty steady stream of VERY cold air. I'm still a bit skeptical.

Damn that's a hell of CPU but what's it's maximum for 24/7??

Booj
08-18-2007, 07:38 PM
It would need to run prime95 to avoid the paging in the SP2004 screenie. Three of the cores haven't done a loop, even after an hour plus. That explains why the core is so cool.

Nice results, but the thread title is mis-leading IMHO.

AC overhead should not classify as air, in the same way as a chiller should not class as watercooling...if you see what I mean.

That chip should absolutely FLY under Dice/Cascade/LN2.

I have never tried Dry Ice before (very troublesome to protect the cpu and motherboard)

You tried before ??

It's simple ;) just need to insulate with some dielectric grease.. neoprene and some paper ;) and some varnish too ;)

some years ago before I went to macao, playing DI with A64 and display card, if I remember it was a X800........ :D

not very hard to play :D

If you want to play I know where have DI to sell in HK and they can cut whatever shape for you.......;) :D :ROTF:
