Ok, my current Sunon fan is over 40dba @ 50cfm and is pretty loud. I bought a Vantec Stealth fan that is 28dba @53 cfm. Now, i wanna see if there is a more affective way to adapt it to my 800 Apha PAL8045 than the classic adapter. Does anyone know where i can get a well designed adapter, or how i could make one that would have minimal air turbulance and that would work well? Any ideas? Thanks guys!

i've never had much luck with any fan adapters.

maybe you could try building something yourself?

generally thy don't work that great, but if you could prove us wrong, it would be great.

Also, is your sig long enough? ;)

I know that you could probably make something with 4" and 3" PVC that would be ducted to/from the side of the case......... might not be the prettiest, but it would work :D

air pressure will not be so good with an adapter .. i made one (60 to 80mm on my intel stock fan) and even with tt scf2 on it it was less performant than original fan. Now I have slk900, less noise, good performance(lapped to hell, also the cpu)

I once took a MCX462, and a 80-120 mm fan adaptor, and two tornados, and did't get a ounce of extra OC outta it, and the temps fluctauted so much, I really couldn't say I got a temp drop...

:(
