View Full Version : Zalman CPNS-6000cu + 120mm

Any idea of the cooling power on a zalman CPNS-6000cu with a 120mm blowing on it instead of their sissy 92mm? It looks like a great design as long as there's enough airflow. Comments? I can get the whole setup for $47 shipped instead of an SLK-900 + fan which would cost me over $50 easily.

i don't think a 120mm would make a big difference over 92mm.. maybe an SLK-800 + fan would be cheaper and a safer bet

Actually to update the purchase. I was talking about the sissy fan that comes with the cooler. It's a 92mm fan but it only gets like 40cfm on high. I bought a couple of 92mm fans that do 95cfm. So about double the airflow should help cool that huge piece of copper. Considering the Zalman heatsink has more surface area than the SLK-800 it should cool considerably well against it. I'll find out sunday night when I get back to San Diego to play around with it.
