Just as the title says, from what I've seen including my experiences, newer sets of G.Skill 800 HZ are clocking worse in general....I havent seen anyone a brand new batch of HZ clocking over about 1060, for example, mine is BARELY stable @ 1068, 5-7-7-20 , and 2.4v and a 120mm fan about an inch off of em keeping them ice cold.

probably yes..older batches are more stable and better o/ckers i guess.
i have my HZ (bought them few months from first coming to stores) at 1080mhz @ 5-4-4-5 @ 2.3V without any active cooling.

heh im not worried about my ram im happy with mine :hehe:my sticks perform better than a pair of 9136's i sold & the hz's were less than half the price.

heh well both of my sets were D9, but still clocked badly, tried them on 2 different motherboard to ensure it wasnt a problem on my end, also the quality of the heat spreaders is sad, if I kept them without a fan even on stock voltage, they would probably burn out in 1 second, it was DEATHLY hot, I would get a serious burn if I kept my finger on it for more than a few seconds

with the cpu 3700mhz and the HZs at 1157mhz with 5-5-5-5 / 4:5 do you think this result is normal???
the result is with buffering enabled.

hehe never seen anything above 8600 sandra with mine at 1187MHz @ 3.8GHz [475x8]:( how do you enable buffering?

it`s the default options configuration....
i guess this result isn`t real enough...
i rerun it with some progs running at the background and i got 10880...

ill never see a figure that high with what i have; i wunda y such a large difference. mine sux compared with yours. :hehe: everest gives me higher readings... i bet if you run everest read test yours will be very high...
anyway i still think 1125 is good for 800 ram at 2.1v :D

if the prog is correct however that means my ram is bandwidth limited by something...i s'pose it's just the hardware combo.

i gotta said...... look at the DDR1 micron..... and their DDR2....just like that...good overclock... but failing rate is about 3 times more than cheap cheap PSC chips
