I have read somewhere that DDC pumps have some issues with reliability.

As I'm running 24/7 full trottle (distributed computing ;)) my mayjor consern is reliability.

I can't recall what pump it actually was (choose from DDC-1 (9W), DDC-2 (18W), DDC-3.1 (9W), & DDC-3.2 (18W))

If it turns out that DDC is not reliable enough for me I'm going to switch to an eheim 1250. Cuttently I'm using my Eheim 1048 for over 3 years without any problems.

I hope anyone can clear this up for me.

In terms of reliability (From best to worst):

-DDC 3.1 (9w)
-DDC-1 (9w)
-DDC 3.2 (18w)
-DDC 2 (18w)

Im not entirely sure about that, But it seems to make sense.

Some people have run DDC-2's for years with no issue, Others have gotten ones that died within minutes. I think Petra said last week he should have a good figure of reliability once he finishes going through some remaining returns.

It does make sence like that, but I would love to hear about some statictics of Petra
