I just picked up a new CPU yesterday, since my DOA AT7 fried mine, and I replaced my ARKGA 1800+ with an AGOIA 1600+.

I believe the stepping is
AGOIA0220MPM
4.......................

Any thoughts on how well this one will do? I handpicked it, but this stepping was all that the store I worked at had, so I picked the one with the highest serial number :D.

I'll be trying it out tonight. The [H] had a HUGE thread on this (150+posts), but the [H]ard|Forum is down, so I can't go and check the data over there as to how well this thing will do  .

Well, the thread is 10 pages or something, but I suppose I could....

However, the [H] is down for a while, since it got too big and the [H]ard|Forum servers couldn't keep up, so they need newer, beefier servers, and the forum is closed until then. When it comes up again, I'll get that thread for you. But if you're banned, you could still read, couldn't you?

dmitriyaz - for a wide variety of reasons, when I want anonymous browsing I use JAP ( http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de ). Nothing is infallible and even JAP isn't perfect but often works for what I need.

Even helps when U.S. routing is fubar, I launch JAP and route through germany :)
