Hi all,

I am installing a OCZ 600W GameXstream PSU in my friends PC, but I'm confused with the wire layout.

Basically it has one 20+4 pin connector (they are seperate unlike most 24 pin connectors.

It then has TWO 4-pin 'cpu' connectors.

Here is a review I found that explains what it has

http://hardware.gwn.com/reviews/revi...pply_600W.html

Basically I'm installing it on a NF7-s (will soon be core 2 duo + new mobo but thats for another month). So what connectors am I connecting to where on the motherboard?

-> Obviously the 20pin goes into the 20pin, but which 4-pin connector do I plug into the 4pin on the motherboard? The 4-pin spinoff from the 20pin? Or one of the two CPU connectors?

The 4-pin spinoff from the 20pin will plug into the same connector. Newer mobos like my P5k deluxe have an 8 pin connector instead of the traditional four pin for 3.3/5V. If you are going to run at stock then just use 1 4-pin cpu connector but if you are going to overclock I'd plug both cpu 4-pin connectors in.

Hi thanks for the reply. Sadly it confused me a bit ...

The 4-pin spinoff from the 20pin will plug into the same connector.

What do you mean by that? Which 'same connector'?

If you are going to run at stock then just use 1 4-pin cpu connector but if you are going to overclock I'd plug both cpu 4-pin connectors in.

There is nowhere to plug both 4-pin connectors I can only do one.

So yea, which one am I plugging in? Thanks again for the reply sorry I'm being so dense.

one of the 2 "cpu connectors" which are named ATX12V CPU 4-Pin or EPS12V CPU 8-Pin

the 4pin spinoff the 20, leave that hanging somewhere at the side

Here is the link to the forums that shows the pictures: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21511

You leave the "24" connector off on that board and just use the "Main" 20pin.

Then you connect CPU1 to the 4pin by the CPU and do not use CPU2.
