I don't think it's in any of the stickies, more specifically I'm about to mount my Fuzion onto my CPU (Q6700).

Mounting without springs just bolting down, get a backplate unless you want to make a banana of your board.

Ah ok thanks, yeah I have a backplate. So you use the mounting screws the same way, just without the springs?

Yep, I wouldn't use the plastic inserts inside the spring either no need for them.

Although it's hard to do so these days since all CPU's have IHS's, I still feel as if I should warn you about the possible danger of crushing the core. I've killed many AMD's back in the day when they were bare.

how hard do you need to tighten the screws before you crush your core?
