I have had my Alpha PAL8045 HSF for a few years now and have taken in on and off several times. The plastic/nylon nuts that come with it are getting pretty warn out and are getting a little stripped. I was wondering where i could get some more, or where i could maybe find some metal ones to replace them.. any ideas as to what i should do? Thanks!

You could try a local hardware store or a Lowes/Home Depot/Menards.

i'd just replace them with metal ones, but make sure you use some sort of non conductive washer between the metal nut and the motherboard.

you should be able to find them at a hardware store like badvector suggested.

Hey, right now i do not have a plastic washer between the top of the studd and the motherboard, i took it off because it adds more tension on the springs and it hold better.. nothing is shored it out so does that meen it should be fine forever?

you should be ok, but i prefer to use the washer if i've got them.
